The Ferrari 296 GTS uses a 2.9 liter V6 biturbo which together with an electric motor produces an output of 830 hp. An eight speed dual clutch transmission transfers this power to the rear wheels. Thanks to the short wheelbase and the mid engine position the car reacts instantly to every steering movement. The metal roof retracts in 14 seconds so the sound of the V6 enters completely unfiltered. Nice detail: because of the 120 degree cylinder angle engineers were able to place the turbos in the middle of the V for a more compact design and a lower center of gravity.
